About Us

Mary Ibrahim, BSc Physiotherapy, May 1991

Mary is a confident and competent senior physiotherapist with over 12 years of experience, working in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Gynaecology and Musculoskeletal injuries. She incorporates A photo of staff member Mary Ibrahimher Pilates training to aid in rehabilitation, low back pain, ante-post natal problems.

She has extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of surgical and medical patients, including management of the elderly. Her experience has been enhanced through 12 years work at the Clementine Churchill Hospital, a private hospital with a large Physiotherapy department , providing treatment for both inpatients and outpatients.

Mary has attended the following courses that have enhanced her skills and experience:

  • Pilates course ( APPI)
  • Ante/Post-natal Pilates Course ( APPI)
  • The Bobath Concept Module 1, 2&3
  • Problem Solving for the Shoulder and rehabilitation for shoulder instability
  • In addition Mary has unique experience in Shock Wave Therapy treatment for Sports injuries and a range of Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal problems.

Russell Hills

Russell is extremely experienced and has worked at the clinic more than 25 years. He trained at West Middlesex University Hospital School of Physiotherapy, qualifying in 1984. He attends many courses which contribute to maintaining and increasing his knowledge and skills. Russell's particular interests include the treatment of back and neck pain, sports and soft tissue injuries, joint and MSK conditions. Grad Dip Phys (mcsp)

Alex Dickinson

Alex graduated from The University of the West of England (Bristol) with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist, Alex has worked at the clinic treating patients for a wide variety of conditions including Achilles tendinopathy, ITB syndrome, prolapsed discs of the lumbar and cervical spine, plantar fasciitis to mention a few.

A keen sportsman, Alex has a particular interest in helping patients recover from sports injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions, regularly seeing players from a local football and hockey club and dancers from the local dance schools.

Since qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist, Alex has been keen to enhance his knowledge and experience by regularly attending professional courses, including a manual therapy course and conferences hosted by leading consultants.

Gemma Hendry BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy

Gemma is a graduate Sports therapist with a passion for all things sport. Having worked extensively within high level netball and rugby since graduation, Gemma has gained valuable experience in rehabbing individuals back to not just day to day life, but to a desired level of sport/activity, whether that is at a professional or recreational level.

Working within private clinics as well as team sport, Gemma has been able to develop her clinical skills to include a range of treatment methods, for a large range of injuries seen in individual sport as well as within team sport settings.

The Initial appointment will include a full assessment so that a treatment/rehab plan can be tailored to the individual. Methods used to treat individuals can include Soft Tissue Release, Manual therapy, Dry Needling/ Acupuncture and Sports Specific Rehab.

Hannah Hamilton

I graduated from UWE (University of the West of England) with an BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.

I can treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as rotator cuff tear, prolapsed discs of the spine, tendinopathy, muscle strains, ligament sprains, impingement syndrome of the shoulder, low back pain, whiplash, plantar fasciitis and much more.

As a sports therapist I can provide sport specific rehabilitation, sports/deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, injury rehab, using techniques such as ultrasound, manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and taping.

I have experience of treating Rugby players both pre-match and during matches for ACL sprains, ankle injuries, shoulder dislocation and muscle spasm using both manual therapy and electrotherapy techniques such as deep tissue massage, ultrasound, postural taping, exercise prescription and sport specific rehabilitation.

I am Member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Therapists (M.B.A.S.R.a.T)

Sherry Ridsdale

I have been working as a Sports Massage Therapist for the last 5 years, since qualifying from St Mary's University with a BSc in Health, Fitness & Coaching. I also gained an ITEC level 4 in massage & pregnancy massage.

I also enjoy personal training, which enables me to provide clients with exercises to strengthen areas that are weak and are causing pain to the body.

After treating the injury I provide self-help information on stretching and exercises to prevent further injury and to aid recovery.

I am also skilled in taping, assisted stretching and mobility exercises. I provide a firm (deep) pressure massage for quick results.
